A family group from Cork, Crystal Swing consist of Mary, her son Derek, and daughter Dervla who have become an overnight internet success with 1 million hits with the song He Drinks Tequila.
They have appeared on several TV shows, including the Late Late Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the USA. They sold out the Opera House in Cork on their first appearance and have played to 6,000 students at UCC. Their mixture of showband music, with the hucklebuck and country music make them appeal to all ages from teenagers up to people in their 80s. No other band in 40 years has captured the imagination of the nation like Crystal Swing.
