Enniscorthy golf club is a beautiful parkland golf course just 1 mile from Enniscorthy town centre, on the N30. Green fees include 30 euro weekdays, 40 euro weekends with special deals for groups. Many open tournaments, see website for details. John O’Sullivan, writer for The Irish Times, quoted in 1998 “Beautifully manicured and demanding golf course from the back tees”.

Enniscorthy is a lovely shopping town, steeped in history (1798) and well worth a visit. The family were staying in the area recently and despite the bad weather I ventured out and had a game of golf in Enniscorthy Golf Club while the family enjoyed a movie in the local cinema. The course is challenging but the scenery is stunning. We all met up later and enjoyed a meal from the extensive menu that was reasonably priced. There was a good atmosphere in the clubhouse and was very welcoming to families. Top marks!
