  • Brilliant day out for the whole family. Check out the Meet the keeper talk times before you go so that you can plan your day around them. We arrived at 11.15am just in time to hear the Meet the keeper talk on the Tigers of which there are 2 babys only 3months old so cute!! We then made our way around the zoo in the direction of the elephants who were getting fed at 12.30pm and as it was a very hot day they were hosed down too which my 2 little girls loved. The next feeding was the sealions at 2.15pm i advise you to get there early as it gets very packed. There is also a baby sealion. The penguins got fed directly after at 2.30pm. Then came the walk around the African plains where the Giraffes, Zebras and Rhinos have a new area to run around in. Its done up brilliant you can see them all up close whereas before they used to be very far away. The only thing i think is a shame about Dublin zoo is the Pets corner. It needs a bit of a re-vamp too. The wishing chair could do with a lick of paint. All in all a great day we didnt leave the zoo till 5.30pm so had 2 very tired children that night!!
