This racecourse provides high class racing both on the flat and over jumps.Thurles Racecourse is an oval right handed track of one and a quarter miles. There are 6 flights of hurdles and 7 steeplechase fences in each circuit. Principally a jumping track though a small number of flat races are held. Our racing season is different to most other Irish racecourses, in that our season straddles two calendar years. Generally, Thurles race from late September to late March. Ample car parks surround the racecourse, both stands give an excellent view of the racetrack as does the lawn in front of the stands.
