The early age of steam and the industrial revolution come to life with steam generated working engines for a happy half day out with an educational bias for the family. Fine collection of models of steam locomotives, including two used in the late 19th century by the Great Northern RailwayLocated at Lodge Park Heritage Centre, Straffan, a Victorian Gothic building - once the Great Southern and Western Railway Church, has been rebuilt here and now houses the power hall of the museum.The museum has a fine collection of model engines recording the development of the locomotive since the 18th century.
