Exteding for over 1km on the northern side of the flanks and floor of the Burntollet Glen, Ervey Wood Country Park is a beautifully scenic amenity filled making it the perfect setting for walks during all seasons. The park includes two woodlands (Ervey wood and Tamnymore wood), which are seperated by the Crunkin Barn. The park is full of towering oaks, birch, hazel and beech.Visitors can enjoy a variety of small waterfalls, wet rock faces, high cliffs and a broad river flood plain which all add o the serenity and ambience of the park. In terms of wildlife, the park's diverse types of vegetation provides a suitable habitat for badgers, foxes, red squirrel and wood mice but to name a few, as well as many woodland birds.Facilities in the park include a carpark (which can cater for up to 50 cars), 600 metres of path, a picnic area and meadow; and an information panel. The park is open all year round. Outdoor pursuits and camping are prohibited.
