I took a trip last year from Vermont to Mount Congreve with the intent to meet an ancestor of the Congreve family: Hon. Ambrose Congreve shortly after his 100th birthday...only to find that he was not well that day, instead I came upon the most beautiful and awe inspiring gardens and views to the Suir. I roamed for hours taking pictures and talking with the garden assistants whom were very pleasant. As I wondered past the main house and then to the main garden, I left with a heart full of joy that I was able to experience something that I could only wish for those who love gardens would have at least one life time experience like this, to see something so tremendous. I am hoping to make that trip again this year, it is worth it!! Deborah Congreve Overton
