Avondale House and Forest Park
Avondale House and Forest Park in Wicklow is a museum to the great Irish political leader Charles Stewart Parnell who was born and lived at Avondale House from 1846-1891. The house is open to the public with admission charge between April to October and includes a video presentation outlining the history of Avondale and its inhabitants. Facilities include a restaurant, book shop, picnic areas and children's play area. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of beautiful natural forest with outdoor walks, it is a must for nature lovers and those interested in Irish heritage.
