Corlea Trackway Visitor Centre
Learn about the Iron Age and its people in Ireland and view an Iron Age Bog Road, which has been preserved in the interpretive centre. The road was built in the year 148 BC across the bog lands close to the River Shannon. There are exhibitions, guided tours and an audiovisual tour for visitors to see and learn more about this road, which is the largest of it's kind to be uncovered in Europe. The visitor centre is open from April 1st - September 30, daily 10.00 - 18.00 and takes about 1 and a half hour to complete the tour and exhibitions. Admission is free and there is a picnic area and tea rooms. The centre is off the R357 or the R392.
