The Story of the Capital is an exciting exhibition tracing the history of Dublin City. It tells of the citys founding, through Viking times and into the unique and vibrant city of today. Built between 1769 and 1779, Dublin City Hall is an example of the Georgian architecture for which Dublin is renowned. A massive restoration programe from 1998 to 2000 reinstated the Rotunda Entrance Hallway back to original grandure. Located next to Dublin Castle, City Hall brings you to the centre of Dublin's Historic Past.Located on Dame Street, Dublin 2, this beautiful and historic building is where the City Councillors meet to discuss leading the City. There is an interactive exibition 'Dublin's City Hall - The Story of the Capital' housed in the Vaults.
