Aras an Uachtarain
Aras an Uachtarain, literally translated in Irish means the 'Building of the President' and is the official residence of the president of Ireland. The building is located in the Phoenix Park Dublin which is the largest public park in Europe. Áras an Uachtaráin is open to tours every Saturday and these depart from the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre next door to Áras an Uachtarain. The tour lasts 1 hour and gives a wonderful insight into to role of the President of Ireland and the history of the President's building.
