Founded in 1701, Marsh's Library is the oldest public library in Ireland and contains over 25,000 books relating to the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. To study and examine the books in Marsh's Library is to explore Europe's great cultural heritage. The library is open to the public and particularly welcomes scholars and students.
