Ph: 00353 46 943 8619

Large Anglo-Norman castle constructed over 30 year period circa 1170s. Trim Castle opened to the public in 2000 following extensive restoration and excavation of the site. For safety reasons, access to the site is by guided tour only and group tours must be pre-booked. The tour is approx 50 minutes in duration and includes transit through narrow staircases. Unfortunately, for this reason the tour may not be suitable for less abled individuals.

  • We recently took a tour of Trim Castle in Meath. It cost less than a fiver and the guide was brilliant. It is really informative and of course the set of Braveheart. Lots of steps so perhaps not very suitable for the very young or old. Tour was about an hour!
