Leahy's Open Farm
Leahys Open Farm is great for family days out in Cork. Fun activities just 3 miles from the lovely village of Dungourney, bordering Cnoc-a-Ceo Woods. This family run farm is open to visitors of all ages for the summer and Christmas seasons. There is so much for the children to do, from feeding the lambs to holding the snake to catching mice and they especially love to cuddle the fluffy rabbits. There is also Go-Karting and boat rides and indoor and outdoor playgrounds, tunnels and so much more to see....Our new maze is also a real puzzler...

Have just returned home after an action packed day at Leahy's Farm. 3 adults, a 4 year old and 6 month old. We all had a brilliant time and I simply cannot recommend it enough. My 4 year old is an extremely active girl. Her attention was captivated all day. She fed the sheep, goats and monkey. Held the rabbit, kitten and snake. Loved the old fire engine, tractors and old farm equipment. Crazy golf was enjoyed by all of us. The staff/family were so friendly and informative. They are obviously proud of what they've achieved, and in my opinion, with good reason. As a child I spent quite a bit of time on friends farms but have not been near one in many years. Thrilled my daughter could experience some of what I had. The only downside was, I had downloaded the directions from google maps but it was a disaster. The farm is not very well signposted and we took 2 wrong turns. Two other families we met there complained of the same problem. Looking forward to our next visit and will definitely go to see Santa there, when he arrives.
Having looked forward to our family trip to Leahy's we were left bitterly disappointed as in addition to the bad weather (out of their control) their version of an indoor playground consisted of old concrete stables containing a twister painted onto the floor (paint was well worn out over entire barn area leaving it looking old and dirty), one slide which was inaccessible for toddlers and the mat worn out at the base of the slide and finally a go-kart track again for older children. Therefore no indoor playground available for toddlers to use. Add that to the extortionate price of 32 euro (2 adults 2 toddlers aged 2) to enter the farm and having seen no animals at the time, I promptly was refunded my money and left with very unhappy toddlers.
we are very much interested to visit your farm. i want to know all the details
fantastic day out. Our two Dublin city girls, 4 and 7 thoroughly enjoyed it.
Having looked at the website we were looking forward to visiting the farm....however on arrival it was soon obvious that they must have used great imagination to create those images as the reality was very different. At 8 Euros per person (same fee for adults and children) the farm was extremely overpriced for the quality of the attraction. The animal pens were cramped and very dirty and do not be fooled by the indoor play area, only a brave parent would let their child actually play in there. All in all a very disappointing visit and one which we will certainly not be repeating.
best santa experience we had was in Leahys open farm. They really bring back the magic of christmas. Our kids were 13 (!) 10 and 6 this year and all asked to go back to leahys. Well worth a visit at Christmas!
