Opened in April 2005 by Loman Cusack Design Stone Gallery is a new space for contemporary art. It exhibits an extensive selection of contemporary painting, prints, other 2D work and occassionally sculpture by established and emerging artists. Our aim is to produce an exhibition programme which is stimulating, exciting, engaging and accessible. Stone Gallery’s mission is to provide a platform for the work of emerging, mid-career Irish and international visual artists. The focus is on 2D media, especially painting, but work in other media is also included in an innovative programme. The exhibition programme is supported by a series of publications and occassional artist/curator talks. ‘Gallery 2’ is used intermittently as a project space where the work of recent graduates or artists whose work is less commercial is exhibited. Thus Stone is beginning to establish itself as a gallery which is dedicated to fostering work by emerging and mid-career artists as well as more established artists. Our plan is to continue to foster work of quality and integrity and to bring to our ever-widening audience exciting work unseen elsewhere. Our services include a consultation for individual and corporate buyers on how to best use artwork in their professional and living spaces, and an online portfolio website.
