Municipal Hall and Bowling Green This building formally the assembly rooms, built in 1736, was destroyed in the Civil War of 1922, rebuilt by Kinsale Urban District Council and dedicated as The Municipal Hall, November 1928. The project for the Bowling Green, a famous meeting place where John Wesley once preached in 1785, was designed by Cork County Council’s Architect’s Department with advice from An Foral Forbatha.
