The Lace Gallery was established by Carlow native Mary O Neill and is a small lace studio producing hand made Irish lace patterns. Situated near the Altamount Gardens in Carlow, the Lace Gallery is an interesting stop on the Carlow tourist circuit, where visitors can see lace techniques being used. The studio specialises in smaller pieces of lace which are more affordable for visitors and Mary presents her work as wall pieces, with sensitively chosen handmade paper that make innovative use of Carrickmacross Lace. Open at weekends only and other times only by appointment.
