Killala Soccer Club was formed in 1975 by local youths Seamus McDonnell, Killybrone, Gerry Bourke, Meelick and Peter McDonnell, Killala. A group of about twenty members kept the Club going in the early years, playing matches in whatever field they could get from local farmers.
