The Hawk's Well is a 336-seat theatre in Sligo, north west Ireland. We host a diverse programme of arts and entertainments including comedy, professional and amateur drama, a wide range of music from jazz to opera, plus ballet, pantomime and children's theatre. The Hawk's Well was opened in 1982 and extended in 1996, then refurbished in 2007 and fitted with new lighting and comfortable new seats. The theatre is funded by the Arts Council, FAS, Sligo Borough Council and Sligo County Council and the Hawk's Well gratefully acknowledges their support. Our attractive bar/foyer hosts a year-round programme of exhibitions by professional and amateur artists and photographers.
