Over 1,200,000 native Irish saplings were planted in the Millennium Forests and and are dedicated in perpetuity to the people of Ireland. Every family in Ireland has a tree designated to them. All of the young trees were grown from seeds collected in native Irish woodlands. The new forests are located are several places throughout Ireland and are fully stocked and growing vigorously. It will take over 100 years before the young Millennium woodlands reach maturity. Why not bring a picnic and make it a real family dayout to remember and go find YOUR family tree!
