'A Morning of Fun with Santa'

Saturday 3rd December at 12pm This year Santa is feeling nostalgic and is going back to the Arctic tradition of Kayaking. Years have passed since Santa last ventured out on his kayak and he is very enthusiastic about the prospect of getting out on the water again. But luckily, he's got help. The Phoenix Kayak Club are helping retrain santa in the art of kayaking. They are putting him under a strict training program and at least once a week Santa pops back to the beautiful rivers of cork to train with the club. But.....He has been set a challenge by tough but fair Phoenix trainers Alan and Evan

The Challenge:

On Sat 3rd of December, upon arrival at Griffins Garden Centre at 12:30pm, Santa must try to attempt to pull off an "Eskimo Roll". Santa accepted this challenge in October and is now much more focused as he does not want to disappoint anyone, especially all the well behaved children.

Will Santa succeed or will he just capsize?

All the elves and indeed staff of Griffins Garden Centre are so excited and want to show their support for Santa. They are having a party which Netty the elf has been busy organising. Netty wants all the children to join together and show their support for Santa. She will be starting off a massive sing-song so that Santa will hear all the kids and know that they are all cheering for him. She has also organised that the North Pole Championship between team Santa and team Rudolf will be held on the Dripsey river this year. This is the first year this championship has been held outside of the north pole.

Which team will be Bringing the "Mary Claus Cup" back to the North Pole?

Find out on Saturday 3rd December - pop out to Griffins Garden Centre at 12pm and get involved! This is a free event and no tickets need to be purchased beforehand. If you want more details check out the following web sites:

Breakfast with Santa

Granny Griffin loves to cook and wants to make sure that Santa is well fed. But Santa doesn't like to eat alone. So She is organising "Breakfast with Santa" on Sunday the 4th and 11th of December at 9am. Santa and his elves will have been out feeding rudolf and all the other reindeers in Farran woods in the morning and will be hungry.

Call the elves on the Ho Ho hotline - (021) 7334286 or (021) 7334336 - if you would like to join Santa and Netty the elf for a tasty, wholesome breakfast and of course, lots of fun .

We will also have an extra special guest, An Seanchaí, Eoin Ó Catháin. Eoin loves to tell the stories about Ole Saint Nick, Brian Boru and Irish folklore.
