Wine Tasting - what to expect on the night...
Our wine tasting events are held in popular bars in Dublin. On arrival to the venue our host or hostess will make the necessary introductions and don't worry about coming alone and you won't be for long. You will be placed into groups between 4 and 8 people to taste a selection of wines from a particular wine region or grape variety and after you have tasted a few wines the men will move onto another table and everyone will try a few more wines. This way everyone will get to meet as many people from the opposite sex as possible.
A wine expert will explain the differences between the wines, how they are made, how to taste them and most importantly how to use this knowledge to make judgements on price and quality. It is an excellent way to expand your knowledge of wine, have some fun and meet interesting people.
The evening is very laid back and there is plenty of time to chat during the tasting session and more time to mingle afterwards. It's a great way to meet new friends and possibly fond some romance also. Think of it like the slow version of speed dating but unlike speed dating there are no boxes to tick or forms to fill in. If you meet someone you would like to see more of feel free to exchange numbers as the whole aim of the evening is to make it as relaxed as possible. Tables are arranged so that males and females sit next to each other where possible.
For most people the main purpose of attending is to meet new friends of both sezes with the added bonus of potentially meeting Mr or Mrs Right. To facilitate this men move onto another table usually after one course. This way you get to meet as many members of the opposite sex as possible.

Speed Dating - What to expect on the night...
FirstDate speed dating is a great way to meet lots of new people in a quick, fun, no-pressure environment. You won't waste your time with people you aren't interested in and will have the opportunity to connect with those who you are after the event. What to expect on the night Your Host or Hostess will welcome you and explain how the evening will work. Once everyone has registered and has a chance to get a drink from the bar everyone will be seated. At the event you will meet approximately 15 people for a few minutes each and this is facilitated by the men moving tables every 3 to 5 minutes.
You will be given a date card and after each date you discreetly make a note on your card if you would like to see them again. At the end of the night you will give us the card and the next day we will send you an email or text you with your matches, so you can take it from there.
