The Garnish Island Ferry service is run by the Harbour Queen Ferry. Our ferries leave Glengarriff Pier every 30 minutes. A wonderful place to visit if you are coming to West Cork. The gardens of Ilnacullin (Garnish Island) are an amazing experience. The trip to the magical gardens of Garnish Island includes a trip to the tame Seal colony on Seal Island. We can cater for groups, families and wheelchairs (although access on the island is fairly limited for the disabled as there are lots of steps). Garnish Island was originally bought from the war office by the Bryce family in 1910 and was transformed into an amazing garden by the garden designer Harold Peto. The unique micro climate that allow the garden to thrive is the result of the Gulf Stream, the sheltered nature of Glengarriff Harbour and the tree belt planted for shelter by Harold Peto.
